Marketing Department is headed by Manager(Marketing ) presently held by Subrata Mukhopadhayay and assisted by Shiladitya Bhowmik, Dy. Manager and Subhasish Biswas & Kallol Paul (Accounts), Assistant Managers. The department deals in the matter of procurement of agricultural produces through co-operative network in the state. The department is also responsible for procurement of Paddy under Minimum Support Price of the Government of India as an agent of Food & Supplies Department as well as Food Corporation of India directly from the farmers through cooperative network thereby ensure providing protection price to the farmers. The department also ensures providing Support Price in respect of Oilseeds, Pulses, etc. as agent of NAFED. |
